CONTRA EVENTS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BY ENGAGING THE SERVICES OF CONTRA EVENTS AND PAYING YOUR FIRST INVOICE YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS .

DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT: A ‘deposit’ of 30% of the initial quote is required to be paid upon confirmation of event. The final invoice will be required to be paid no later then 14 days prior to your event date.

PROVISION OF MEALS: In circumstances where CONTRA EVENTS staff will be engaged for more than six (6) continuous hours (including bump in, bump out and travel time), we require that a meal be provided in the form of one (1) main sized meal per staff member.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA: Over the course of your event we may take photos/videos for promotional purposes. This media may be published online via our website and social media, and/or used for other purposes. Please let us know in advance if you do not wish for this to happen and/or flag any persons attending that do not wish to be photographed. You may request copies of these photos, which will be delivered digitally for an additional fee.

TRAVEL FEES: No travel fees will be charged for events within 40km of the Hobart CBD. Events further than 40km away from the Hobart CBD may incur a travel fee. This will be quoted on a case by case basis, taking into account distance, time spent travelling to and from, and risk.

ACCOMODATION FEES: Events that finish after 7pm more than 50km from Hobart may incur a accommodation fee. This will vary from case to case.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY FEES: Events held on a public holiday will incur a 10% loading.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you wish to cancel our services please do so no later than 21 days prior to your event date. Events that cancel within 21 days of the event date will forfeit their deposit.

If the full invoice is not paid 14 days prior to your event date, we reserve the right to cancel our services at your event at our discretion.

STOCKOUTS: Stock on hand will be based off reasonable estimates informed by information provided by the client. Contra Events reserve the right to charge the customer an additional fees in the event that the volume consumed is beyond what could have been reasonably foreseen and extra stock needs to be brought on site. Contra Events make no guarantee that all items stocked will be available for the entirety of the event. No additional charges will be made without first getting verbal confirmation from the hirer or an agent of the hirer.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY: Some of our suppliers may discontinue or change products due to seasonality, vintage variability, or other reasons. Whilst every effort will be made to supply the same products initially quoted, this may not always be possible. Contra Events reserves the right to modify menus if quoted products become unavailable.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL: As required by Tasmanian law, we reserve the right to stop the service of alcohol entirely or to refuse service of alcohol to any individual at any time. Intoxicated guests will be refused service. Contra Events will cease bar service entirely if deemed necessary to avoid compromising guest and/or staff safety or for other responsibilities under the Liquor Licensing Act. No refund will be made in the event that the bar is closed early.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: In the unlikely event that the providers are unable to attend due to illness, injury, emergency, or any other reason CONTRA EVENTS will make every effort to ensure alternate service is provided. If a suitable alternate arrangement is not possible, CONTRA EVENTS liability to the client is limited to return of all fees paid by the client.
